Christmas Eve Night! Part 1

Our Christmas Eve's are sooo busy!!!
But we love it!

That evening we started out at Marc and Michelles house. We have our Mexican Fiesta dinner YUUUM!! My favorite! And everyone just sits around talking and holding babies. Relaxing and noisy!! ;)

Shaelyn, Heidi, Holli

These two wouldn't stop posing! So cute!

Heather holding Ava, of course!!

Look I got to hold her too!

And Ellie! Thanks Heather!!

Then each family does a skit or talent.

Marc and Michelles Family and Randy and Tiffanys Family put this skit together. It was so funny! I wish I had got it on video. They made these cute costumes for each child and each came in to a different part of the snowman song from Primary Colors cd. So first Brooke and Ellie did the normal version of Once their was a snowman...Shelby then came out during that songColton came out as the 3rd snowman totally dancing. He is a 13 year old boy so it surprised many. He has got some great moves. I love it!Then all the different snowmen came out. It was so cute and funny!

Then the sun came and melted, melted...

Missy and Brians family sang Silent Night.

This is James praciticing the guitar. Because only an hour before the party I asked or told or ummm whatev. James accompanied my family while we sang Angels We Have Heard on High. I was so proud of him for learning the part. He did a great job.
(I don't have a pic of Bob and Cindis family. I was playing the piano for them!)
Patty and Emma did a cute song, "You better watch out"The beuatiful highlight of the night was when Colby sang a song she wrote! It was about not seeing the star. It was amazing. She made many cry. Again I wish I had had a video camera!
Then grandma read a cute pioneer Christmas story.
After all that we did the cousin and family gift exchange. I will only show this one picture because 1. I have too many and 2. It is just soo cute!

Emma with her new dress up skirt.

And her dad, Mike playing along. (sorry Mike, couldn't resist)

It was so much fun to have Grandpa and Grandma back for Christmas. They were definatly missed last year. Next Grandma gave out her beautifully sewn jammies for all the grandkids. They were so cute!! I didn't get any pics, becasue I was taking pics with my grandmas camera, but you can see them at my moms blog. They definatly make Christmas perfect!

Overall, we had a Very Merry Christmas with the Moores!!

It's FINALLY Christmas!!

Hooray!! It is finally Christmas! I am just too excited! Today has been so long at work. The clock just wouldn't move. I cannot wait to give some of the gifts I have to give. I am so excited! Especially for James. He has no idea what I got him and it is driving him nuts!!

He has had way too much time staring at this thing, and shaking, and wishing he could open it! HA!! HA!! I can't wait!!

Here is some Christmas things that we have been up to:

Durfee Baking Day
We had so much fun!! We made way too many good things.
Here is Hope helping me make Tiger butter. YUM!

Here I am getting my goody plates ready!

Here is mom sugaring her Russian Tea Cakes. A Christmas Favorite and must have!!

What a champ! Heidi helped so much even with her broken foot. She was such a trooper. She and Holli rolled and rolled and rolled cookies out for us!
I also finished decorating my Christmas Tree. It turned out pretty darn cute! This year I got some new ornaments, instead of using my handmade ones. I loved it, but it was hard. I still had to put some handmade ones up, especially in the back. :) I love beautiful presents!! All wrapped up nice with beautiful bows and tags. A present has to look good! It has to look so good that you almost don't want to unwrap it! I did say almost! :) James wouldn't put bows on mine, but he did wrap them. Afterwards I tied ribbon on all of our presents! Yeah!

Last night we had the Durfee Extended Family Christmas Party. It was a lot of fun! This is a picture of all my aunts with their youngest babies on their laps!

We had such a good time just chatting after dinner and the gift exchange.
Heidi, Holli (texting!), and Mom

Heather and Dad

Merry Christmas Everyone!!
We are off to a Moore Christmas party and Bitter Christmas party! Woo hoo!!

My amazing cousin Colby!

I have an amazing cousin!

okay so I actually have many, many, many amazing cousins, but the one I am bloggin' about is Colby Moore!!

Well, actually her name is now Colby Lindblom and has been for awhile, but I still can't get used to it. I still always say Colby Moore! - sorry Colby Moore

I love this girl. She amazes me in so many ways! Colby and I grew up together of course! When we were both under 10 she was my annoying little cousin who wanted all the same things I had. We fought over my little ponies, barbies, playing princess and maid, and how the little mermaid song goes.... like constantly! But we loved each other! So many fun times at sleepovers, parties, the cabin, and grandmas house!! Every Sunday was a new adventure and game.
Colby and I haven't spent much time together since both of us got married and now she has the cutest little baby girl. BUT, Colby and I have a little side biz going on that just started and I am lovin' it!

After our little gig last Saturday, Colby and I hung out for an hour or so and it was so nice! We ate Neds, which was amazing and we sat and chatted it up! I loved it!
I can't stop thinking about how much fun it was. Colby, how I have missed you!! We have so much more in common now and I love talking to you! You have always been such a great example to me! I have looked up to you for many years now. You amaze me with everything you've done and accomplished in your life and everything you are doing right now. You are so smart! You are such a good mom! You have such a strong testimony and you always share it by mouth and example! Thank you!!
I love you so much! Can't wait to hang out with you again, and with that little baby of yours! (you know I've got to get to know her better so I can tell her what a great mom she has) and maybe one of these times, we'll include the guys!! :)

Christmas Time is finally here!!

So it is finally Christmas at the Bitters. Hooray!! A couple friends asked me to post about it so here ya go....

I am so excited about these new towells. (the ones with pom poms). Aren't they adorable! I of course love my Santa towell too. It was given to me at my bridal shower.
Ornament Arrangement (I got the idea from Ikea) Love ya Ikea!!

Our Christmas Tree... it doesn't have any ornaments yet!

You must have jingle bells on your door

My Christmas signs I made last year.

I absolutely love my new star that I made!!
My new stockings!

Entry way

Cute side table

My couches! With my favorite star shaped pillows and my new star pillow additions.

James favorite ornament.
Last year, or maybe the year before, my mom and I drug James and my dad to Poppeys!! It was around Christmas time and we wanted to see all the cute stuff. Well they weren't very excited, but they didn't mind that when we got there we entered their names along with our own into a contest they were having. They would draw names every so often and the winner would get a prize. It was so funny because the next two people to win a prize was my dad and James. And this is the ornament that James won!! Thanks babe! (of course it is pretty much the same size as my tree so it gets hung in the window)
And last, but definitely not least, My favorite part of decorating.
My entertainment Center!!
I changed it a lot this year and I am in love with it. There are a few things I am still working on, but it will hopefully get done soon. I just love being in my front room. I can sit in their for hours and hours and not do anything. Just sit and think of cute things to do to it. Too much fun!!!
